AustinTalks is a publication of Columbia College Chicago's Communication Department and seeks to reflect the richness and diversity of Chicago’s most-populated neighborhood with news and information not available anywhere else. Nick was a paid contributor during his journalism classes at Columbia College Chicago.
Gateway Journalism Review

At Gateway Journalism Review, Nick was responsible for critically analyzing the mass media in the Midwest stretching from Ohio to Oklahoma and from North Dakota to Arkansas – and beyond. The publication’s goal is to regularly review journalism, new media, photojournalism, advertising, public relations, and entertainment media to help ensure the public has the most credible, fair media possible.
The Columbia Chronicle

The Chronicle is the official student-run news publication of Columbia College Chicago. While providing award-winning news content on Columbia’s campus and the South Loop area for its readers, The Chronicle also serves as a laboratory for journalism instruction and practice, producing professionals in various fields who can successfully contribute to their industries. Nick first contributed to the Chronicle in 2018 and then became a part-time, paid staff reporter in his final semester of college. Nick contributed news, opinions, and even a front-page Coronavirus (COVID-19) story to the paper before graduation.
